The more trips I take whether it's out my back door or over an ocean I find myself wishing I had less gear in tow. Plenty of things are non-negotiables depending on the activity or weather but getting efficient with those things makes life easy while on the go. We just wrapped up a two-week trip to Portugal (to hike the Fishermans Trail) and to Italy to visit some of the major cities (Amalfi Coast, Rome, Florence, Venice) and this is what I took with me.

 We didn’t have any checked baggage and our packs were small enough to wear them all day without them being annoying!
